Travel to
Delft.

Delft is well connected by rail, air and public transport. Plan a smooth journey to the TU Delft Aula Conference Centre and choose a lower-carbon option where possible.

Getting to Delft

Choose your route.

Delft is easy to reach from the Netherlands and from neighbouring European countries. Rail is usually the simplest option once you enter the Dutch transport network.
01 - TRAIN

Arriving by rail

International services connect smoothly to Delft through Rotterdam, The Hague, Amsterdam, Utrecht and Schiphol.

02 - AIR

Arriving by air

Schiphol Airport has a railway station directly below the terminal, making the onward journey to Delft straightforward.

03 - CAR

Arriving by car

Delft is connected via the A13. Paid visitor parking is available around the TU Delft campus.

Arriving by Air

Fly to the Netherlands.

The easiest airport for Delft is Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS). The railway station is located directly underneath the terminal, allowing you to continue to Delft easily by train.

Take an NS train from Schiphol Airport to Delft. The typical journey time is approximately 40–45 minutes.

Rotterdam The Hague Airport (RTM) can also be convenient for selected European routes. Eindhoven Airport (EIN) serves many low-cost carriers but requires a longer onward journey to Delft.

International Rail

Travel rail-first.

For many European delegates, rail offers a convenient and lower-emission alternative to flying.
 From Brussels & Paris   High-speed services connect Belgium and France with the Netherlands. A common route is Paris or Brussels → Rotterdam, followed by a short local train to Delft. 
 From Germany   ICE and IC services connect major German cities with the Netherlands. Typical transfers are via Utrecht or Rotterdam, followed by an onward service to Delft. 
 Route planning   Use NS for Dutch train planning and 9292 for complete door-to-door public transport information.

The last mile.

TU Delft is close to Delft Station and easy to reach by tram, bus, bicycle or on foot.
 Tram 19   Travel from Delft Station directly to the stop "Aula", next to the conference venue. 
 Bus   Several bus services connect Delft Station with the TU Delft campus. Check 9292 for the best connection. 
 Bicycle   Delft is flat and cycle-friendly. Bicycle rental is available near the station and in the city centre. 
 Walk / Taxi   Walking is pleasant in good weather. Taxis are available at Delft Station for direct transport to the Aula. 
Public Transport

You can travel nationwide by train, bus and tram using either an OV-chipkaart or OVpay.

With OVpay, simply check in and out using a contactless debit card, credit card or phone. Always use the same card or device for both check-in and check-out.

By Car

Parking at

Delft is well connected via the A13. Paid visitor parking is available in designated areas around the Aula and on the TU Delft campus.

If you require parking at the venue, the organising committee can issue a special QR code for conference parking. Please request this in advance and provide your name, licence plate number and date(s) of attendance.

Lower-Carbon Travel

Travel with impact in mind.

CHoPS 2027 supports climate-conscious conferencing. We encourage delegates to choose the lowest-emission travel option that is realistic for their journey.

Rail is strongly encouraged where practical. If flying is necessary, consider using the sustainability options offered by your airline or institution.

CHoPS 2027 also offers to plant one tree per participant through its climate programme partner.
