CHoPS 2027 is committed to sustainability. We encourage all participants to choose low-emission travel options and join our climate-conscious approach to international conferencing.
Rail-First Conference
Travelling by train is the most climate-friendly way to reach Delft. The city is well connected to major European hubs:
- rom Amsterdam Schiphol: Direct train to Delft (~40 min)
- From Paris: Thalys to Rotterdam + local train (total ~3h)
- From Cologne or Berlin: ICE/IC to Rotterdam + Delft
- From Brussels: Thalys or Intercity Brussels to Delft (~2h)
Offset & Commit
We plant one tree for every participant, through our partner All for Trees. If you need to fly, we recommend offsetting your emissions directly when booking or via your institution.
If You Must Fly: Air France–KLM Discount
For intercontinental or long-distance participants, CHoPS 2027 has partnered with KLM to offer a 10% discount on flights:

Go Dutch – Rent a Bike During Your Stay
Experience Delft the local way - by bike! With flat roads, scenic canals, and excellent cycling paths, renting a bicycle is the easiest, greenest, and most enjoyable way to get around. Whether you're heading to the conference venue or exploring the historic city centre, cycling is fast, fun, and unmistakably Dutch. Bike rentals are available near the station, city centre, and most hotels.
