CHoPS 2027 will take place at the TU Delft Aula Conference Centre in Delft, the Netherlands, from 6–9 July 2027. This page provides practical information to help you plan your trip and make the most of your time in Delft.
By air
The nearest airport is Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS), with direct train connections to Delft (approximately 45–50 minutes).
By train
International rail services (including Thalys, Eurostar and ICE) connect via nearby cities such as Rotterdam, The Hague and Amsterdam.
Local transport
Delft has excellent local transport (trams and buses) and is easy to explore on foot. The city is also highly bike-friendly.
A rail-first, green conference
In line with our sustainability pledge, we encourage participants to choose low-carbon travel options wherever possible. We are partnering with All for Trees to plant one tree per delegate and will offset conference-related emissions.
A KLM/Air France discount code will be available for international participants who need to fly. Further details will be provided with your registration confirmation.

The Aula is centrally located on the TU Delft campus and offers step-free access, modern AV facilities and sustainable catering options. Coffee points, posters and exhibitions will be located in the central foyer.
Accommodation
Delft offers a wide range of hotels and guesthouses within walking or cycling distance of the venue. Discounted room blocks will be arranged for registered participants. Further details will be shared by email and via the registration platform.

Visas and invitation letters
If you require a visa to attend CHoPS 2027 in the Netherlands, you can download an official invitation letter via the event platform after payment.
- Register and pay via the Registration page.
- Once payment is confirmed, sign in to your Dryfta account at chops2027.dryfta.com.
- From your dashboard, select Visa Letter.
- Check or complete your profile details (full name, institution, nationality and passport number).
- Click Generate Visa Letter to download your personalised PDF instantly.
If your embassy requires a physically signed letter or specific formatting, please email info@chops2027.org. We recommend applying at least four weeks before travel.
